Are You Thinking About a Career in Real Estate? 
Excellent! Helping people buy and sell houses and property can be one of the most rewarding, fulfilling, interesting and wealth-enhancing careers on the planet (that's the good news).

Conversely and unfortunately, many have found it to be one of the most discouraging, disappointing, energy-zapping and wealth-depleting careers they've ever attempted (that's the bad news).

The cool thing is that whether someone succeeds or fails in a real estate career is largely dependent on THEM - on their commitment, their dedication, and their work ethic (okay, and a little luck), along with a entrepreneurial personality and a reasonable level of preparedness.  

But the fact is... real estate is a tough place to be right now in many parts of the country. Thousands of real estate agents, even those with years of experience and successes under their belts are struggling, suffering and eventually throwing in the towel, sometimes after decimating their family's financial and emotional resources.

I don't say this to discourage you, or for that matter, to inspire you. I say it because the realities of today's real estate industry are such that a responsible person must consider the entire picture before committing his own time, money and emotional resources to a career where more people fail than succeed.

So, do YOU have what it takes to succeed? Maybe, maybe not!

Contrary to urban myth, success in a real estate career is not simply a matter of being a "people-person," a "natural salesperson," or even a master marketer. People who are none of these things succeed every day! In fact, I'M none of these things and I enjoyed an extremely successful real estate career! So, no, you don't have to be an outgoing, naturally social person to sell houses; in fact, some of the best real estate agents I know don't have an outgoing bone in their bodies.

So, asking again... do YOU have what it takes to make a real estate career work for you?
