Alright it is confession time for everyone, I'll start with some of mine.

Most of you probably have riders that proclaim "Sale Pending", "Under Contract" or some version thereof.  Here at my company we use "Made It Happen".  I can not, will not, put one of those riders on my yard sign.  That phobia started years ago, we had an accepted offer so I put on the "Made It Happen".  Then a few days later the deal fell apart so I had to go remove the rider.  That was very hard to do...what made it worse it was my sister's condo.  If I am doing a Sunday Open I will only print out an odd number of flyers...no explanation for that one.

One of my coworkers has a special lucky yard sign.  Also she will only put in new listings on Thursday.  That seems to be a culture thing, she is from Nepal and Hindu.  Her clients tend to be from India or Nepal and they fully understand the Thursday thing.

I think "Made it Happen" is tacky anyway.
I am not superstitious but I do not like to throw words around that I may need to eat later.
I like to put new listings up on Thursday mornings if possible - hits the hot sheet and may be in time for saturday showings.  Didn't know I was hindu about it.  lol

Very strange...

I just put my first tiny blog entry on activerain. It was about superstitions Shocked. I figured it was soft-core enough to where I wouldn't really look foolish. It's probably posted in its own little box in cyberspace where no one will ever see it, which is Ok.

"Made it Happen"..."Top Producer"...Bragging   I can see the need for a company to advertise their success, so what would be a more soulful rider?..and could you use it?

OK...I have a planned Vacation to Virginia Beach. We leave tomorrow (I like mountains here, but L O V E the Atlantic). I get a contract accepted Tuesday (yay). Last sale was the same...plan a vacation, get a contract. I need to plan a long series of overnight camping trips or something.

I also have noticed I get more floor calls after rearranging the furniture in my office. I don't know if was done on Thursdays or not. I'd rather go camping than move furniture though.

I've been attracted to this concept for some time now.  And I've been reading about that creation of change in environment.  Seems to be what the concept is behind the principles of Feng Shui. When the energy in a situation is allowed to flow differently...different things happen.  Have anyone else experienced this?

I don't know RC, but when I get back from the beach, I'm moving some wall hangings and planning a camping trip...on Thursday. Me? Superstitious? NAH! Grin

Chuck, please don't misunderstand what I wrote. I didn't mean in any manner to imply you were bragging. The sign is, and that's its purpose for the company as we know. Maybe if the rider was placed below the company's catch phrase, or if you distance your name rider by placing it under...Oh, I forgot the curse...I'll just shut up and rearrange some furniture...

Bill-

I've always said if you need a boost in your business...plan a vacation.

We really plaster radio and TV with our jingle too "Mel Foster...Making It Happen"

Wow Susan! Thanks..now the obvious question...Why? Smiley. I am truly honored. (So now do I have to put meaningful content on the blog?) OMG! Pressure.

I ran a state park for a long time, so camping during Spring Break would be like sunbathing au naturel over fire ant beds.Grin We are going to be roughing it on the 10th floor overlooking the Atlantic. Somebody's gotta do it.

We started out our journey together in Tidewater, so it will be a semi-honeymoon. I don't know if they knit much there at the beach, but macrame is back in style I think Wink...oh...that's another thread...

Bill-

I've been eyeing that "outside blog" link on ActiveRain for some time now.  One of the reasons I posted this topic was to see the response of superstitions.  If I mustered up the courage to go outside blog my first topic: phobias superstition paranoia

Chuck,
DO IT!!! You will have far more meaningful content that I will at this time. All I seem to be able to think about is the enchanting sound of the surf.

Make it happen! (sorry, couldn't stop myself). BTW, somewhere in either Eastern TN or Western NC, there is another Realty company using your slogan. I smiled as we rocketed by, and said, "Chuck's all over it, kicking butt in Illinois." (but soulfully)

Now that  super mentor Susan has careened the gauntlet off the Shenandoah Mountains, clear down to the little Ouachita Mountains in West Arkansas...I HAVE to produce!
