Hello, Jennifer.  I am newly licensed and currently looking for a Broker.  Would I benefit from this course prior to being affiliated with a Broker or do the daily assignments require you have a real working relationship in place?

Hey TimBer...

Welcome to the Biz!

You'd definitely need to be at an office to be able to do the assignments. Of course, you can begin the assignments anytime you like, so if you wanted to get an early start, that's fine, too!

Have you been interviewing much? Have you gotten an idea for what sorts of training you'll be offered?

Tell us more!

Thank you for the quick response.  I have not yet spoken with a Broker as I just passed the exam last Friday.  The last couple days have been spent researching what I should look for in a Broker, questions to ask, and getting my life/house in order. Last night I did send out a couple emails to friends in the business requesting time to talk.  I'll follow-up with phone calls this morning.  I also had an outstanding RE school instructor who is well-respected in our market and he offered to assist.  Having trouble getting with him, however, as he is very busy.

I'm very glad I found this site and your philosophy.  I'm not the bothersome/cold calling type and believe (with my rookie opinion) that genuine and authentic relationship building is the way to go.  Fortunately, I was given a year's severance from my previous job so I have a little time to get started.  You'll see me as a regular on your site!

Just signed up for your rookie school.  I've been in the biz about a month now.  My company does ALOT of training, but I always come home feeling overwhelmed by the prospecting stuff.  Tonight, for example is "call night".  We are all supposed to meet at the office, eat pizza and call expireds and FSBOS together.  We'll listen to each other's calls and make suggestions and hopefully get a kazillion leads..... I'd just as soon have a root canal!

Needless to say, I'm skipping this little get together!  I'm intrigued by your soulfull approach.  I'm a very social person, but I'm not good at the "sales" thing....

Love your Selling with Soul book..... makes me believe I can actually do this...my own way!

Hi Abbi
Welcome! You are just going to love the Rookie school. Even for an old dog (me) I loved it to. I am glad you have the opportunity early in your career to get on the Soulful Track first instead of the Old School Track and feeling yucky all the time.

I promise you that if you hang out here enough, you can do it your own way, or the SWS way and actually sleep at night.
There are bunch of cheerleaders here who will always help if you get stuck, so don't be a stranger we are all here for each other.
